We’re thrilled to introduce you to the newest member of the Bellevue LifeSpring team, Kris Howard. Kris is our new Director of Events and Volunteers! Kris is no stranger to the Bellevue LifeSpring team. She produced our 2019 Uncork the Night auction and has helped us execute fundraising campaigns as an event contractor since 2019.
Before joining the team, Kris founded her own events company called Cerno, LLC and spent nine years managing large-scale fundraising events for non-profits across the Pacific Northwest. Before starting her own business, Kris worked for over a decade as the Senior Director of Special Events for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Seattle. We are thrilled to have her bring her broad-based events and fundraising experience to Bellevue LifeSpring.
Kris grew up here on the eastside in Kirkland, and she’s a graduate of Western Washington University. Now Kris lives in North Bend with her husband Justin, two daughters, and their big lovable yellow lab.

What drew you to Bellevue LifeSpring?
I started my non-profit career with an organization that was focused on supporting children and families in crisis. Joining Bellevue LifeSpring feels like a return to my roots and gives me the unique opportunity to continue this important and meaningful work.
What inspired you to get involved with this kind of work, and why do you think it’s so important?
Non-profit work is all heart, and each day is different. This role gives me the unique opportunity to truly see people at their best and to witness their creativity and generosity on so many different levels.
What are you most excited about, and what do you hope to achieve in your new role?
Honestly, I’m most excited about the people. From the entire Bellevue LifeSpring team to the Board, to the Circle Members – this is by far one of the most passionate, enthusiastic, and driven organizations I have ever worked with. It truly feels like the skies are the limit in terms of the impact we can have within the Bellevue community.
What does community mean to you?
To me, community means a sense of belonging. A place where we come together to support, encourage, and advocate for one another.
What is one of your favorite places in Bellevue?
One of my favorite places in Bellevue is the Downtown Park. It is such a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city and a great spot to grab some local takeout and enjoy a picnic in the sunshine.
