It’s August and that means Bellevue LifeSpring is signing families up for Holiday Adopt-A-Family! Each summer, Bellevue LifeSpring’s Human Services team conducts interviews with families in the community who need a helping hand over the holidays. We are pleased to report that this year nearly 300 families will take part in Holiday Adopt-A-Family.
Holiday Adopt-A-Family matches each family with a community sponsor who provides them with holiday gifts and food. Each family sits down with Bellevue LifeSpring to share their story and fill out a wish list, where they can specify gift and clothing ideas for each child and a general household need. This allows for a more personalized approach for families and gives our sponsors the ability to shop more mindfully and purposefully for their matched family.
Holiday meals are a cherished time when families come together. Sponsors also provide a grocery gift card to each of the families to help with the cost of food over the holiday season, making it possible for them to create lasting memories with their loved ones.
