Four Benefits of Giving Where You Live

When you give where you live, all members of the community benefit — especially our students. When Bellevue students achieve success, it spreads throughout our schools, businesses, and neighborhoods, benefiting all Bellevue residents, present and future.

At Bellevue LifeSpring, our goal is to foster stability and self-sufficiency for Bellevue children from low-income households. We aim to reach all Bellevue children in need and close the graduation gap by 2027. We know we can achieve this ambitious goal with our community’s partnership.

Here are four reasons why you should give back with Bellevue LifeSpring:

  1. Gain new perspectives — Here in Bellevue, one of the wealthiest cities in the nation, many people don’t know that nearly 4,000 students lack basic needs like food and adequate housing. In the comfort of our homes and neighborhoods, it can be easy to forget that over 350 children are experiencing housing insecurity. Engaging and investing in Bellevue LifeSpring’s mission allows you to gain insight and perspective into the struggles families and children are going through right here in Bellevue.
  2. Giving back is good for the soul — Research has shown that giving back to your community is a major mood booster. It has the power to give you a greater sense of purpose and can make you feel more fulfilled in your day-to-day life.
  3. Widen your network — When you get involved or volunteer your time with Bellevue LifeSpring, it widens your network and connects you to your neighbors. Getting involved provides you with opportunities to meet new people you may not have met otherwise. See how to bring a social aspect to your philanthropy by joining one of Bellevue LifeSpring’s membership circles.
  4. Support students in achieving success — When you invest in Bellevue LifeSpring’s mission, you are helping to build pathways to success for Bellevue’s students. With a community of support behind them, they will one day have the potential to be Bellevue’s future leaders, teachers, entrepreneurs, software engineers, doctors, and more.

We look forward to building a better Bellevue together with you!
