What’s Your Resolution?

Studies show most New Year’s resolutions fail by February – but they don’t have to! Whether your resolution is to live healthier, read more or give locally, Thrift Culture can help you make your 2019 resolutions stick.

  • Fitter You –Experts say investing in your athletic wardrobe can help to give you confidence and motivate you to work out. Thrift Culture regularly carries brands like Adidas, Athleta, Lululemon, Nike, Oiselle and Under Armour – so you can get great workout gear for less!
  • Make Progress on Your TBR List – Getting your books secondhand is a great way to stretch your book budget in the new year and make progress on that “to be read” list. Lower prices might also encourage you to try books outside of your comfort zone that you might not otherwise pick up.
  • Less Clutter – During the holidays, things tend to pile up. The new year is a great time to clean out your closets, re-evaluate and re-gift to your favorite local thrift store! (If you want tips and tricks on how to clean out your closet, check out our blog post!)
  • More Green – We all can do more to take care of our planet. The U.S. alone sends about 21 billion pounds of textile waste to landfills every year. Thrift Culture is doing their part to help keep clothing out of landfills by finding new homes for your clothing and participating in textile recycling. Plus, shopping secondhand helps to conserve the resources that go into manufacturing new clothes!
  • More Green $$ – Looking to improve your bottom line? You can shop the latest styles and discover designer deals at Thrift Culture. Quality clothing at low prices – plus weekly tag sales – means your dollar goes farther!
  • Give Where You Live– Thrift Culture began in Bellevue 80 years ago and is still supported by an incredible community of local volunteers, shoppers and staff. The shelves and racks are filled thanks to generous donations from our neighbors and proceeds benefit Bellevue LifeSpring programs, providing food, clothing, education and emergency assistance to Bellevue children and their families living in poverty. You can “give where you live” by shopping, donating or volunteering at Thrift Culture!

Make a resolution to #ThriftOn3 and come see us in real life! Thanks to the generosity of the Kemper Freeman Family and The Bellevue Collection, Thrift Culture has a home on the third floor of Bellevue Square. We look forward to seeing you soon!
