Six Ways to Give for Less than $1

Looking to make your dollars go further? A little can go a long way! Here are six easy ways to increase your impact on your community – without impacting your wallet.

  1. AmazonSmile – A reason to smile

Did you know your Amazon purchases can also benefit Bellevue kids? AmazonSmile offers the same products, prices and features as Amazon.com PLUS 0.5% of every purchase will go to your favorite nonprofit! It’s easy to set up – just head to smile.amazon.com and select Bellevue LifeSpring as your charitable organization of choice.

  1. Fred Meyer Community Rewards – Get your groceries to give back!

Fred Meyer donates $2.6 million to nonprofits every year through their Community Rewards program. How do you make sure your shopping counts? Link your Fred Meyer Rewards Card to Bellevue LifeSpring and Fred Meyer will make a donation at the end of the quarter based on the spending of Rewards Customers linked to our organization.

  1. Rounding Up at the Register – Small change, big difference

You’ve probably been asked to “round up for education” when you make a purchase at Thrift Culture. Rounding up to the nearest dollar means that extra change goes toward Bellevue LifeSpring’s college scholarships program. Since 2014, donations made by rounding up at the register have raised over $11,250 for Bellevue LifeSpring scholarships.

  1. Company Matching – Double your impact!

Many companies (including Microsoft, Google and hundreds of others) encourage employee giving by matching your donation dollar for dollar. Some companies even match volunteer hours! Submitting your gift to be matched costs you nothing, and you make twice the impact for families living in poverty.

  1. Volunteering – “Drive” your donations

Giving cash isn’t the only way to give back – you can also donate your time, energy and talent to making Bellevue a better place to live, work and play. Thrift Culture is supported by dozens of volunteers, who help to keep the store staffed, stocked and running smoothly. In addition, volunteers support us year-round with office support, at events and hosting drives to collect healthy snacks or clothing for kids in Bellevue. It’s a great way to connect with your community and make a difference!

  1. Share our story/social media – Get the word out!

Last but not least, you can support Bellevue kids by letting people know that there is a need in our community. Your advocacy can make a difference! Follow, like and share our posts on social media, invite your friends and neighbors to join you at Bellevue LifeSpring events and take your family shopping at Thrift Culture. Word of mouth has never been so valuable, and sharing your personal story about how you got involved with Bellevue LifeSpring could inspire others to give.

At Bellevue LifeSpring, every gift matters and makes a difference. Whether it’s spare change or a spare moment, your support is an investment in the Bellevue community, ensuring brighter futures and greater resources for generations to come.
