Four Ways You Can Make a Difference from a Distance!

During these challenging times, we find encouragement and hope in the fundamental truth that together, we can do extraordinary things. Here are four ways you can help us ensure 3,500 Bellevue children in need do not experience hunger and homelessness.

1. Invest in our emergency response fund:

Contributing to our emergency response fund is the simplest and fastest way to support Bellevue children and their families who are most affected by this crisis. Your contribution will immediately go to providing nutritional support and emergency rent assistance to our neighbors in need. Make an investment in the wellbeing of Bellevue kids today.

2. Share our story:

Create a Facebook fundraiser and rally your network to help support Bellevue children. Starting a fundraiser is easy- start here! All of the funds you raise will go directly to our COVID-19 emergency response fund.

Below are images you can use when setting up your fundraiser!

Email and ask a friend to join you in supporting Bellevue kids. Not sure what to say?

Here is a sample email template for you to copy and paste:

Dear (insert name),

Please join me in supporting Bellevue LifeSpring’s emergency response fund so that no child in Bellevue experiences hunger or homelessness during this uncertain time. Bellevue LifeSpring is working directly with the Bellevue School District to feed children who rely on daily meal assistance. For many of these families, this is the primary nourishment their children receive every day. In addition to nutrition support, Bellevue LifeSpring is supporting families who were at risk of experiencing homelessness with rent support services.

Donations may be made online at www.BellevueLifeSpring.org/donate

Thank you for your consideration and may your loved ones stay healthy through this difficult time.

With Gratitude,
(Your name here)

3. Donate food directly to the Bellevue School District:

We are facilitating food donations for families in the Bellevue School District. The items listed below can be dropped off at the district’s warehouse and will be delivered to the three schools that are distributing food to families.

Most-needed items include:

  • Canned veggies
  • Rice
  • Beans
  • Canned tuna and chicken
  • Soap
  • Shampoo
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Laundry soap

Please contact Brooke@BellevueLifeSpring.org to set up a delivery.

4. Host a virtual dinner or happy hour:

Invite your friends and family to virtual dinner or happy hour and ask your guests to give what they would have spent on dinner or drinks to Bellevue kids in need. This is a great way to catch up with your loved ones while giving back to your neighbors in need.
