Emily is a Real Estate Broker with Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty and our new Bellevue LifeSpring Hunts Point Circle Chair! Bellevue LifeSpring Circle Chairs volunteer their time to organize and lead the Bellevue LifeSpring Membership Circles.
Emily and her family, originally from Seattle, moved to the Hunts Point community in 2017. “Within days of our move, there was a lovely invitation to the Bellevue LifeSpring annual luncheon, which a fellow circle member hand-delivered. It’s hard to say no to an invitation delivered in this manner,” shared Emily. “To say I was welcomed with open arms is an understatement. Within minutes of the first luncheon, I met many people I now consider friends. We were and are all connected in our dedication to serving our community despite our different backgrounds and lives.”

What do you love most about being a Bellevue LifeSpring Circle Member?
“I appreciate the history of our Hunts Point Circle. Bellevue LifeSpring was started in our neighborhood by a few brave and generous women. This engrained history adds a bit of pressure to ensure we continue providing relief for those in need, which is far from bad. Not only do we raise a significant amount of money for Bellevue children in need, but we are also there for our Hunts Point neighbors when they experience a loss or health issue. That’s what neighbors should do – look out for one another and cheer each other on.”
What inspired you to step up as the new Hunts Point Circle Chair?
“Molly McConkey, our previous Circle Co-Chair, approached me after I co-chaired the 4th of July Celebration on the Points this past July. After taking on that significant volunteer commitment, she understood that I genuinely cared for our community, its traditions, and the importance of connection.”
Why do you think our mission is important?
“Bellevue LifeSpring’s mission is essential because helping those in need is a fundamental human responsibility. One of the best ways to communicate this to my two young children is by action. It genuinely warms my heart to help — it’s a win/win.”
Why do you give where you live?
“It’s always important to be vested in your community. Connection is also a fundamental human need. I am at peace knowing my children can ride their bikes, and I have a community that cares about their well-being. What makes our community unique are the traditions that ground us. My husband and I have never hesitated to roll up our sleeves and help continue the practices that ensure our community remains connected—being servants (providing relief for those in need) is extremely important.”
What does community mean to you?
“The people, their smiles and waves, and the relationships surrounding your home are just as important as your actual property. My drive to support our community is rooted in my passion for raising well-rounded and grounded children. Lead by example!”
What’s your favorite thing to do here in Bellevue?
“Neighborhood dog walks through our nature preserve, visiting Wells Medina, jumping off our boat on a hot summer day in Meydenbauer Bay or Cozy Cove, 4th of July celebration on the points, dinners at Carmines or Overlake, shopping on Main St., and in general, the overall convenience of Bellevue. We are all so very blessed to live here.”
