As we step into a brand-new year, many of us are setting goals to prioritize wellness, happiness, and personal growth. While gym memberships and new hobbies often top the list, there’s another powerful way to enrich your New Year resolutions: giving back to your community.
This year, consider making a resolution to support Bellevue children. Join our mission to break the cycle of poverty for children and students in our community and provide them with the resources they need to reach stability.
Giving Back Feels Good!
Giving back and acts of kindness not only benefit those around you—it’s also a chance to nurture your own well-being. Helping others can reduce stress, increase happiness, and create a profound sense of purpose.
At Bellevue LifeSpring, we’ve seen how the power of giving transforms lives—not only for those who receive support but also for those who give. Our community members often share how fulfilling it is to know they’ve helped prevent a student from experiencing hardships like sleeping in a car, living at a shelter, or going without a meal.
Here are three ways you can get involved in Bellevue LifeSpring’s mission and make an impact in 2025:
Mark Your Calendars for the Step Up to the Plate Benefit Luncheon: Our annual luncheon on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, is a perfect opportunity to learn, foster meaningful connections, and take action to support Bellevue children and students. Whether you attend with your colleagues or your neighbor, you will walk away inspired by the power of community. Save the date for April 29, and stay tuned for more details!
Invest: Your generosity can directly prevent hunger and homelessness from happening right here in our Bellevue community. More than 4,700 Bellevue children are experiencing food insecurity, and more than 700 children are experiencing some form of homelessness. When you give where you live, you help ensure the basic needs of children in our community are met so they can focus in the classroom, succeed in their education, and thrive.
Assemble and Donate Snack Packs and Hygiene Kits: Gather your family, friends, or colleagues and set up a snack pack or hygiene kit build for Bellevue students. Our Bellevue Family Hubs and local schools keep these donated kits on hand for when students need a nutrition boost or personal products throughout the school day and after. Thoughtful efforts like these amplify your impact and spread the joy of giving. Get started.
Bellevue’s New Year Challenge
We challenge you to embrace this New Year’s resolution: Give back to yourself by giving back to your community. When you give back, you’re not only changing the lives of individual children and families, but you’re also strengthening the fabric of our entire community.
Happy New Year!
