2024 Holiday Giving Program Highlights

Our Tis’ the Season Holiday Giving Program, in partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bellevue and Rainier Athletes, was a resounding success thanks to our caring community! The generosity of Bellevue neighbors and local businesses ensured that 432 children from 252 families experienced the magic and joy of the holiday season.

Together, we made an extraordinary impact. Community members donated an incredible 1,425 toys and gifts and 1,036 gift cards. But the giving didn’t stop there—volunteers showed up to decorate, wrap gifts, create hot cocoa kits, and organize the toy room, transforming the experience into something truly special for the children and families participating in the program.

Here are just a few of the moments that made us smile:

Bellevue Students Give Back

Local student volunteers brought energy, creativity, and care to our program this year. Their passion for service and commitment has been inspiring to see. Groups like the Overlake Key Club, the National League of Young Men, and the National Charity League made a significant impact by decorating the toy room, crafting hot cocoa kits, and creating festive treats. It’s heartening to see how teen involvement grows each year, and we’re so proud of their contributions to spreading holiday cheer!

Corporate Partners Give Big

The heart of Bellevue’s business community shone brightly this holiday season as corporate partners went above and beyond to make an impact. Companies like the Bacon Family Foundation, Microsoft, Merrill Lynch, American Capital Group, and Viome hosted toy drives, volunteered, and contributed generously to help ensure families had everything they needed for a joyful holiday. Their efforts not only provided crucial support but also underscored the importance of community-driven partnerships.

A Magical Holiday at Mary’s Place

Our ‘Tis the Season Holiday Giving Program extended to 120 families, including 129 children, at the Mary’s Place Family Shelter right here in Bellevue, spreading joy to our neighbors who need it most. With the support of our Circle Members and volunteers, we transformed the shelter into a festive haven, complete with holiday decorations and a thoughtfully curated gift room.

Collaborating with Our Community Partners

All in all, this year’s holiday program was extra special because we worked hand in hand with our community partners at Bellevue Boys and Girls Clubs and Rainier Athletes to expand our impact. Hosting a holiday program together was more than just a shared goal—it was about combining each organization’s expertise and resources to build a program that ensured children and families had everything they needed to celebrate the season with joy and dignity.

For our three organizations, the greatest joy comes from seeing the smiles of kids getting to be kids and feeling cared for by their community.

Thank you, Bellevue, for making this holiday season one to remember!
