We are thrilled to welcome Dzenita to the team as our new Communications Outreach Coordinator. Dzenita will be working to help strengthen our communications with Bellevue families and community partners.
“I was raised in Everett, Washington, but my family is all originally from Bosna I Hercegovina,” shared Dzenita. “My culture plays a huge role in my day-to-day life, and it drives my success and love for community.” Dzenita graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Strategic Communications. She speaks Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian.

Why is the Bellevue LifeSpring mission meaningful to you?
Coming from an immigrant background, I remember how difficult it was for our family to integrate into the community and find good resources. Bellevue LifeSpring’s mission is meaningful to me because I’m able to play a key role in helping students and families be self-sufficient.
What do you hope to achieve in your new role?
In my new role as the Communications Outreach Coordinator, I hope to create a resourceful online presence for our families, circle members, and donors. My goal in this position is to be able to continuously share our organization’s impact and be an advocate for students and families in any way I can.
What does community mean to you?
Community can mean many things, but for me, it’s all about creating meaningful connections. One thing we all have in common is a shared human experience. Uplifting each other in times of need and enjoying the little things in life together. Community is connection. If we are kind to one another, others will follow by example.
What could we find you doing outside of Bellevue LifeSpring?
You can find me doing freelance makeup artistry, spending time with family and friends, and going thrift shopping. I love finding unique clothing and home décor. To me, the perfect day would be grabbing a hot coffee and hitting a thrift shop!
