Working Together for Bellevue Kids

Our community and corporate partnerships have been fundamental to supporting Bellevue students in need. Thanks to the leadership of our partners at Safeway and The Bellevue Collection, we’re creating positive change and building a stronger Bellevue together.

The Bellevue Collection Merges Fashion With Philanthropy

This fall, our longtime partners, The Bellevue Collection and the Kemper Freeman Family, once again selected Bellevue LifeSpring as the recipient of 100% of the Posh Party Trend Show ticket sales! They also encouraged their shoppers to “purchase with a purpose” to celebrate their 75th anniversary week. For every $750 spent, the Bellevue collection donated $75 to Bellevue LifeSpring.

All in all, the Bellevue collection invested $55,000 to support Bellevue children! We are so grateful to the Bellevue Collection for prioritizing supporting local children during Bellevue’s most fashionable time of year.

“The Kemper Freeman Family’s generosity demonstrates their continued dedication to serving others and their investment in creating a thriving Bellevue community for all of its residents,” shared Bellevue LifeSpring Executive Director Jennifer Fischer. “Thanks to Bellevue Collection and Posh Party attendees, Bellevue LifeSpring can provide immediate support to children and families in need and equip them with the foundation for successful, self-sufficient futures.”

Safeway Helps To Nourish Our Neighbors

In September, Bellevue LifeSpring benefited from Safeway’s Nourishing Neighbor program., Community donations made at check-out at three Bellevue stores were donated to Bellevue LifeSpring. Safeway raised nearly $13,000 to help ensure local children get the nutrition they need.

Safeway and Northwest Harvest have also selected Bellevue LifeSpring as one of the recipients of the KING 5 Home Team Harvest drive — Washington State’s largest annual food drive. This means we will receive Safeway gift cards to give to local children and families in need this coming winter and spring.

“Safeway is pleased to partner with Bellevue LifeSpring because of their strong partnership with the Bellevue School District in identifying the families that are struggling within the region. We believe everyone should be assured meaningful access to basic needs of food, shelter, and education, and Bellevue LifeSpring has been very effective in helping families meet these needs,” shared Sara Osborne, Director of External Affairs for Safeway. “For instance, the grocery food voucher program not only provides these families access to food, but it also reinforces dignity and agency for the families to shop in the same way as other families and select food consistent with their cultural preferences and dietary restrictions.”

Thank you to our partners who are committed to supporting Bellevue kids! With a dedicated community by our side, we know that eliminating poverty for Bellevue kids is achievable.
