Who We Are
The Bellevue LifeSpring Fairweather Circle Members represent a variety of ages and cultures with varied interests and talents, ranging from involved moms with school-age children to energetic retired professionals.
We all have a shared commitment and passion to support our neighbors in need.
What We Do
We support Bellevue LifeSpring’s mission by participating in programs and events that help provide food, clothing, education, and emergency assistance for Bellevue children in need and their families. Our goal is to help local students who are facing hunger and homelessness build self-sufficient futures.
We have participated in our overall organization’s fundraisers over the years, such as the Fantastic Step Celebrity Shoe Auction, and our Drive for Dreams Golf Tournaments. We also participate in Bellevue LifeSpring’s annual Step Up to the Plate Benefit Luncheon and the Uncork the Night gala.
One of the highlights of our year is bringing joy and magic to the children during the holiday season by providing food and gift support for them and their families. We have also enjoyed assembling hundreds of snack packs accompanied by upbeat notes for our school kids.
As a circle, we have planned many innovative fundraising events over the decades, such as our Springing into Summer garden parties at Wells Medina Nursery, and during the pandemic, we held two fun and festive online “Share the Love” auctions in February of 2021 and 2022. Another of our favorite fundraisers was packaging and selling special ingredients for our delicious “Fairweather’s Foulweather Soup” at a holiday bazaar at the Bellevue Club. Recently, we put on a highly successful pop-up sale at the home of one of our members. In addition, our circle funded a four-year scholarship to the University of Washington for a graduating senior in the Bellevue School District. Almost weekly during the pandemic, we mobilized our members and neighbors to deliver food and basic needs to Stevenson Elementary School, the designated site for distribution by the Bellevue School District.
Teamwork and fun contribute to the success of our lively initiative and bring us all joy knowing that the results help to lighten the burden of so many families.
When, Where We Meet, and How to Reach Us
Our meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. at the home of a circle member, which includes an occasional “Dine Around” no-host lunch at a local restaurant following the meeting. Most of our meetings take place in the West Bellevue area.
