Reducing Your Water Bill

Could you be saving money on your Bellevue utility bill?

If you pay your utility bill directly to the City of Bellevue, you may qualify for a discount, especially if you or someone in your household is 62+ or has a permanent disability. Don’t meet those criteria? You may still qualify for an annual tax rebate based on your income. Join us and learn how to apply during this workshop.

Bill Assistance Short-Term Assistance Programs

Income qualified community members who are receiving their water bill from the City of Bellevue can apply for our short-term programs to receive to receive assistance on up to 3 water bills.

Income qualified seniors (62 years and older) or have a permanent disability and receive benefits from a government program and pay a utility(water) bill directly to the City of Bellevue, you can get a discount of 70% off the basic costs of the 2026 water, wastewater, and drainage services by application.

Required Docs include:

  • A valid photo identification document (ID) for each member of household
  • Proof of income for each member of household for previous year (2025)
  • If permanently disabled, proof of disability income (ex: DSHS or Social Security)

We partner with local organizations and businesses to host life-skill workshops for families at our Bellevue Family Hubs. The workshops are offered in person and virtually and are free for families to attend. Childcare is also provided for parents while they attend the in-person sessions.

Past workshops have included Navigating the Healthcare System, Money Management Basics, Everything You Need to Know for Your Child’s Transition to Middle or High School, and more.
