Lawyer Milloy

Honorary Chair: Lawyer Milloy, Former Safety for Seattle Seahawks

Bellevue LifeSpring is thrilled to have Lawyer Milloy join us as Honorary Chair for our 2015 Wine at its Best event. Lawyer Milloy is a former American college and professional football player who was a safety in the National Football League for fifteen seasons. Originally from St. Louis, Milloy later moved to Tacoma, Washington, attending Lincoln High School before going on to play football for the University of Washington.

In 1996, he was drafted by the New England Patriots where he earned the Lombardi Trophy. After leaving the Patriots, Milloy went on to play for the Buffalo Bills, Atlanta Falcons and finally ended his career with the Seattle Seahawks in 2010. Now retired, Milloy focuses on his home-based business and nonprofit foundation. The Lawyer Milloy Foundation provides support to youth development programs, families affected by drug abuse and programs for battered women. Lawyer is excited to be partnering with Bellevue LifeSpring on this event to benefit children and their families in his own community.

Benefiting the Breaktime-Mealtime™ Program

"Breaktime-Mealtime is an awesome program for my kids. I have three kids at Lake Hills Elementary School and it seems that they are growing a lot over their break from school, so they need the extra food to keep them healthy and growing well. I am so grateful for this program."

-Wendy, mom of Joey, Jake and Kendra

Nineteen percent of children in Bellevue public schools qualify for the free or reduced price lunch program, which means they live at or near the Federal Poverty Line. Bellevue LifeSpring's Breaktime-Mealtime program provides these children with thousands of nutritious meals during school breaks every year, ensuring that they return to the classroom healthy and ready to learn.
